Vinícius Kenzo Okada

Summary

Vinícius Kenzo Okada is a PhD student in Geology at the University of Minho, in the field of Hydrology and Erosion, supervised by Renato Henriques and by Tomás de Figueiredo, of the Mountain Research Centre (CIMO) of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, where the work is carried out. He holds an FCT doctoral grant (2023–2027) for the project «Predicting Sediment Yield and Managing Vulnerability, Risks, and Sustainability», which develops a semi-quantitative sediment yield model integrated with geoprocessing, remote sensing and geographic information systems.

He graduated in Environmental Engineering from the Federal University of Technology – Paraná (Brazil) and from the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, where he completed an MSc in Environmental Technology (2022) on river flows and hydrological risks in mountain catchments of Montesinho Natural Park.
